How to Make Your Coffee Stronger

Let’s pause to honor the first moment in the morning when you smell the java percolating.

Ah… Wasn’t that great?

Even better is making strong coffee at home reminiscent of the brew we love crafting for you here at Dublin. Want to know how to make your coffee stronger? Read on, and we’ll help you get a strong cup of coffee brewing.

Strong Coffee. Strong Coffee Beans.

Starting with Dublin’s freshly-roasted beans is the only way to go. We know how to brew strong coffee, and that begins with carefully sourced beans. We want you to have the perfect cup at home, too. That’s why brewing with one of our specialty blends makes a big difference.

Only Fresh––Always

The freshest beans are the perfect base to making strong coffee. That rich flavor you love comes from grinding the beans right before making a cup. This can directly impact the quality and strength of your coffee. We’re happy to grind your coffee beans at the shop before you leave. To enjoy that strong cup every time, invest in a quality grinder. Don’t be nervous. We believe in you; you got this bean-grinding thing, friend!

Measure First

Do you want that caffeine kick that knocks your socks off? Here it is. Your coffee-to-water ratio should be higher to achieve that stellar mug. Use 2.5 tablespoons of coffee grounds for every six ounces of water. Too much kick? Too little? Experiment with the measurements to see what works best for you.

For those who love the traditional cup we make every time you visit Dublin, we’ve got you covered too.

Use two tablespoons of ground coffee for six ounces of water. Always––always––reach for fresh, filtered, or bottled water. Place in your brewing method of choice, and violà!

How You Brew

There are a plethora of brewing options out there. Each has its own variables to bring you that wicked-strong cup of coffee you crave. Below you’ll find bean grind times (say that ten times fast) according to your equipment:

  • Automatic drip coffee maker, grind beans for 15 seconds.
  • French Press, grind for 10 seconds.
  • Espresso machine, keep on grinding; the finer, the better!

From regular to specialty blend flavors, Dublin Roasters has you covered. We aren’t your typical coffee house. We’re fueled by love, positivity, and a crazy-good java. Our beans are sourced ethically from around the globe and roasted right at home at our shop in Downtown Frederick. Shop online or stop by, sit a spell––bring your doggo––and let’s enjoy a great cup of coffee together!
